First time trying to make a Hackintosh. I have a Lenovo Y50 and I followed the steps in this guide.(http://www.tonymacx86.com/445-unibeast-install-os-x-yosemite-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html)

However when I boot from USB, I select the USB from the Chimera Boot Screen and the Apple bootup screen flashes for a little bit and then I end up booting back into Windows. I tried the -x and the -v thing but none of those things worked either. What am I doing wrong?

You need to patch the kernel: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-locked-msrs-hp-envy-15-j063cl-i7-4700mq.html

Or you can use Clover, which has my patch built-in to the KernelPm option.

For using Clover, I suggest you read here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-proboo...-install-yosemite-hp-laptops-clover-uefi.html. Filter appropriately as some information is HP ProBook specific (omit HPFanReset.efi, most of the stuff in the ProBook Installer, for example).

Also, HD4600 is going to need work: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...-fix-intel-hd4400-hd4600-mobile-yosemite.html

I recommend the Clover option due to the amount of patching you'll need (kernel, graphics kexts) just to be able to boot.

Thanks for replying so fast!

I'm in the process of setting up Clover and hopefully everything will work out fine!

I'm currently stuck at trying to boot from the EFI. I followed all the steps and when I try to boot from the EFI it says the USB Device has been blocked by the current security. I turned off Secure Boot and it still shows the same error. Anything I can do about it?

It is definitely a secure boot issue... Double check your BIOS setting.

I fixed the boot problem and I did select "Boot OS X Install from Install OS X Yosemite". I saw an Apple logo and a loading bar, went to the bathroom, came back and saw a circle with a line through it. Does this mean there was an error?

I booted into verbose but it still doesn't work. The circle with the line is back again and the last line of text that was shown is "GeforceSensor : Still waiting for accelerator to start..." Is this something wrong with the graphics card?
