Lenovo x250 - El Capitan

Good day all of you,

Crazy, I have got my new laptop x250. Impossible to boot the usb installer on it.
I tried different configurations:
- Clover UEFI GPT
- Clover Legacy MBR.

In both cases, I used the config.plist file for HS5500 with small modification: resolution of 1366x768 instead of 1900x1600 initially.

All the time the process blocked at the very beginning without message (see attached file).

Further info, if I use this USB stick on a lenovo x230, that's all rigth.

Pay attention the Broadwell info in the FAQ. It is important.

This is the guide I have used for creating the usb stick with clover.

Regarding Broadwell + Intel HD5500, I have some doubts regarding what I did.
Currently I am not too much focused on the graphics card, having or not the right injection parameter as it looks like that the system freezes immediatly after the kernel extraction.

I will be focused on SMBIOS and see if a specific version will help to solve the current issue.

Post EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

This issue is solved after modification of many parameters in the bios.

Now getting KP from GPU, just before starting the X server.

Will work on it & keep you in touch.

Here below the photo, reboot immediatly after loading the FB driver.

FYI, DVMT value seems to be defined at 96MB (dedicated video memory 64MB from windows panel). DVMT can't be changed into the BIOS, only the parameter maximum dedicated memory can be defined either to 256 or 512 mb.

I tried different value of ig-platform-inject without success.
SMBIOS refers to macbook pro 12,1
DVMT pacthes into clover
SSDT.aml created for broadwell.

Any idea for the next step ?

DVMT can't be changed into the BIOS

Windows indication is meaningless. See FAQ and related links for methods to change DVMT.

If you're unable to change it, you can try the minStolenSize patch.

What else, don't buy a lenovo if you intend to install OS X on it ;-)
