This was just a practice computer, a left over from the IT department so I cobbled it together. The only new part was the video card. I also wanted to find out how hard Mojave is to hackintosh.

Lenovo ThinkCentre m91p

I5-2400 (3.1 GHz)

RX 580 (Sapphire Pulse 8gig)

8 gig ram

Crucial mx100 (500 gig, sata)

Chipset = Intel Q67

Network = Intel 82579 Ethernet Controller

Audio = ALC662

MultiBeast - 11.3, Legacy Boot Mode, Intel e1000 network, system definition iMac 13,1

Preview wouldn’t open .jpgs, switched system definition to MacPro 5.1 (from iMac 14,2?). Something about the programs trying to use the iGPU. MacPros have no iGPU. Might fix the Safari crash issue to. For some reason the PowerFractal performance dropped by half.

Switched to a iMac 13.1 sys definition, PowerFractal back up to spec and Preview opens .jpgs. I hope this fixes the Safari crashes to.

Another possible fix for Safari crashing

Fix 2:
  1. Close Safari
  2. Open the Terminal app (Applications > Utilities > Terminal)
  3. Enter the following command: defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeInternalDebugMenu 1
  4. Then hit return
  5. Now relaunch Safari
  6. You will see the Debug menu in Safari’s menubar
  7. Click Debug
  8. Select Drawing/Compositing Flags
  9. Choose “Disable Canvas Accelerated Drawing” and “Disable Full Page Accelerated Drawing”.
  10. Now check to see if your problem is fixed
I haven’t found a solution of the ALC662 or sleep yet. Still working on it. I have to explore DSDT.
