Hi,

I have a Lenovo T410 laptop in which I successfully installed Mountain Lion version 10.8.3 using this guide here.

My laptop spec: Laptop: Lenovo T410 Type 2537 | i5-520m 2.4GHz | BIOS 1.35 | Intel HD Graphics - 1440x900| OS X 10.8.3

Because it is 10.8.3 I cannot install XCode from app store and my main purpose of installing Hackintosh is using XCode to get into IOS programming.

I therefore, tried to upgrade to mavericks (10.9) using the same method as the one shown in above thread.

I create a unibeast USB drive with Mavericks on it and inserted into the laptop. I booted it up with the flag of "-v npci=0x2000" again but I am keep getting stuck on the step as shown in the attached image.

If anyone can help, that would be great.

Your 1st gen Intel HD graphics are not really supported. You will have to remove the Intel HD kexts just to install (AppleIntelFrame*, AppleIntelHD*, AppleIntelSNB*). Then do some more hacking to get it to work: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286092-guide-1st-generation-intel-hd-graphics-qeci/

On my colleague's T410, I got the Unibeast USB to boot into the installer but simply using GraphicsEnabler=Yes.
I did select Laptop Support when I created the USB Boot drive.

In the T410 BIOS, make sure the drive is set to AHCI and make sure Virtualization and VT-d are turned off.

Maybe a different graphics configuration (discrete only?)

That would make sense.

The version I got to boot was a T410 2518, which according to CNET has Intel HD graphics.

The version the OP notes, T410 2537 has NVIDIA NVS 3100M graphics.

Need to tweak the boot for NVIDIA?

Configuring Nvidia vs. Intel is completely different. I'm not sure what's involved on the nvidia side...

On my Lonovo W510, that had discreet NVIDIA graphics, all I had to do was use GraphicsEnabler=Yes at the boot screen. After the initial install, I added the retail NVIDIA drivers for 10.9 and things work great.

GE=Y vs. GE=N depends on the specific nvidia chip you have. Also, extra DSDT edits must be done to make the laptop screen work in some cases (and fix things like LID sleep, brightness adjustment, etc.).

Like I said, I don't know the details as I don't have the hardware, but it is significantly different than Intel.

Please provide complete details in your profile.

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.
