Keep in mind there is at least a 15-20 second delay after closing lid before macOS will initiate sleep.
Did you wait long enough?
@RehabMan Hi
i waited more than 15-20 sec but still closing the lid doesnt put laptop to sleep .
but upon closing the lid the display goes off and opening the lid turns the display back on.
NOTE : I have no external display connected . and no USB devices connected except USB mouse as my trackpad is not working.

Since it’s the only problem left, it should be easier to focus on that issue.

We will fix it tonight or tomorrow, i will send you new files for testing so you can post problem reporting files and i will patch your I2C correctly to fix your touchpad.

Hi ! @Sniki
any update on the fix for the Touchpad ?

Thanks !

Check for assertions:
Code:
pmset -g assertions

Also, make sure you test with Apple->Sleep first.

Post "Problem Reporting" files so i can see if the rest is fixed or not.

Then i will provide you new files for Touchpad.

I forgot to tell you to remove VoodooI2C.kext & VoodooI2CElan.kext from /Library/Extensions/ and EFI/Clover/kexts/Other

make sure to rebuild caches from terminal:
Code:
sudo kextcache -i /
use this config.plist

Reboot and send me ioreg again
