Please provide complete details in your profile.

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Did you edit the Chimera preference file to add the graphics ID, etc?

Try IGPEnabler=Yes, etc.

I believe that device-properties is the same as:

Chimera: IGPEnabler=Y GraphicsEnabler=N IGPlatformID=01660004
Chameleon: GraphicsEnabler=Y IntelCapriFB=4

01660004 is usually used with high resolution displays. Your screen resolution remains unspecified in your profile (see post #83). What is your screen resolution?

So is it a G500 or a U310? Unless you've already checked all of the internal hardware including integrated GPU submodel, chipset, audio card, network card, etc. are exactly the same as the G500, there's no guarantee this guide will work for you. Even then there's no guarantee, actually.
