Pre-Installation
Mevericks USB Build
- Download OS X 10.9 Meverick from App Store and use Unibeast 3.0.1 to build USB Bootable by Tonymacx86's 10.9 guide

UEFI Bios Settings
1. To access UEFI Setup, press and hold Delete on a USB Keyboard while the system is booting up

2. Configure your BIOS (credits to Shorts)
2.1 Load optimized defaults
2.2 Performace > X.M.P. > Profile 1 but use Memory Bus Speed 1600Mhz and DRAM Voltage 1.65
2.3 Peripherals > xHCI Mode > AUTO
2.4 Peripherals > xHCI Hand-OFF > ENABLED
2.5 Peripherals > EHCI Hand-OFF > ENABLED
Skip step 2.6 and 2.7 if you want to use your internal graphics chip
(2.6 Peripherals > Internal Graphics > DISABLED)
(2.7 Peripherals > Init Display First > PCIe slot of your graphics card)
2.8 Power Management > Wake on Lan > DISABLED
2.9 BIOS Features > Boot Options, change it to your boot disk but pick the one that starts with P2 or some number like that. Do not select the UEFI version else you will get the missing operating system error.
2.10 Save and Exit Bios.

Installation
1. Turn your Computer press F12 >> Select USB Bootable press Enter Slide to Mavericks USB again Type "GraphicsEnabler=Yes" press Enter

hello Lenk,

great MOD by the way!!! love the case

for me i am thai too living bkk,

can you help me about making a raid system for my computer
i got the same motherboard as you and a couple of 1TB drives for raid 0

Hi Lenk,

Nice build.

I too have a Kraken (it's an X60 and in my Mac Pro build - http://www.tonymacx86.com/completed-mods/113808-minihack-mac-pro-mod.html). I didn't use the NZXT fans on it though and swapped out for Noiseblockers that are run at a constant rate. I am interested to know if using the original fans the PWM for the cooler makes the fans noisy or quiet for you in OS X? As I don't run windows on my machine (and the fan control software is windows only) I thought that probably it would be better to swap the fans, but I would be really interested to hear your experience to know if the default fan control on these coolers is to run them quietly or not.

I used original fan from water cooling and it not make me a noisy to much and I can sleep with my hack fine :)

Hi Mondify

Your G5 case mod is amazing!

Do you sell them by any chance?

Thanks
