If you can get the AHCI version of the Samsung 951 it will be less problematic to boot OS X from that drive.
The 951 Pro NVME version requires a third party driver/kext for it to work as a boot drive. It can also have shutdown restart issues.

Here's a link the the AHCI 951 which is supported OOB by OS X. You'll get over 2200 MB/s read speeds with one of these.

This PSU is better, made by Seasonic as OEM supplier and supports Haswell. Its what I use. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817438049

550VA should be enough since my computer use only 100VA during idle and 250VA at full load with nVidia card.

Gigabyte WB867 is not supported and not listed on Tonymac86 Buyer's Guide as Apple don't use Intel chipset. You need Broadcom chipset.

Everything else looks good... now read the guide to see if you will be able to do it.

Thank you remington,

Right so the wb867 is out the window and I will go for the Broadcom m.2 chipset...but wouldn't that sacrifice my only m.2 slot? or are there any other m.2 slots located on the rear of the board??

In regards to the ud5 th...i may actually just go for the ud5 without the TH...

Power supply will be the seasonic 550w...

TRS96 has kindly advised me to go for the AHCI 951 chipset which is supported by mac osx, so that'll be my SSD...

I have briefly gone through those threads but understanding them will take a long long time...so good luck to me...

But guys @remington @trs96 and @kiiroaka thank you for all your help...

There is only one m.2 slot and you should use that for Samsung 951. Don't put SSD under the video card as it generates a lot of heat.

TP-Link Archer T8E AC1750 PCIe will be recognized by Mac OS X. It uses Broadcom chipset.

If you want to use Bluetooth then USB Bluetooth adapter is best option. Also Mac OS X recognizes it.

Remington,

The final thing I would like to ask you is that this build will not be used to render hours of 4k video but only some 4K clips roughly of 3-5mins in length...

Do I really need a GTX 980 or can I get away with GTX 970?

I have heard that 970 and 980 provide identical performance when working on a timeline with multiple 4k clips but the 970 only lacks when it comes to rendering with heavy effects...I will not be using heavy effects on the old colour correction and some minor effects...

Sorry for being such a pain...

You can get away with 970 since you'll have a strong processor. I have 960 and its good enough for me.
