Does anyone know if I could use the same hardware to from the customac to make it into a laptop? I know I would have to go smaller but could someone tell me what CPU, Motherboard, and what not to make it into a hackintosh?

you can't build a laptop your self...

I have seen sort of custom build-it-yourself laptops, but that was years ago (like, around 2000). I have no idea if anyone offers that anymore. In any case, the components are entirely different from the desktop components, even the CPUs are different (mobile versions are less powerfull to save energy). Pretty much the only things you could use in a laptop are 2.5" harddrives and SSDs, plus slim optical drives. The rest is specific laptops, most of it to a specific model.

So no, you can't use the Customac components in a laptop.

As the others have said, you can't build your own laptop. But there is a full section of this forum devoted to Laptops with OSX. It is just right down the bottom.
