I just installed High Sierra on my P55-US3L 1.0, i5 750 and GT 640
All went well but SpeedStep didn't work

I read some posts and:
- deleted NullCPUPowerManagement.kext from EFI partition
- Enabled "Drop OEM"
- Enabled "Generate PStates"
- Enabled "Generate CStates"

Rebooted and:
- Animations became laggy and choppy (i.e. Dock, Launchpad, HWMonitor popup, Firefox scrolling)
- Sleep stopped to work (wakes up immediatly)
- HWMonitor show my multiplier switches between x9 and x20

I moved NullCPUPowerManagement.kext back (without disabling Clover SSDT management):
- Animation works fine
- Sleep works
- HWMonitor always shows x20

I also tries SSDT generation script, but it doesn't support Old Lynnfield CPUs

Actually I'm fine without SpeedTest, but I'd like to solve it for educational purposes

Hey, did you get any further on that? I have a Lynnfield problem on high sierra too.
