Hi I installed 10.11.1 on my Dell XPS l521x, but cannot find an AppleHDA kext that works. I have ALC275. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

I'm not aware of an AppleHDA kext that supports ALC275. You may have to give VoodooHDA a try - it's universal, but can be flakey and unreliable. If it works for you, you'll have audio though.
