Kernel Panic with Serial/Parallel Card

Thanks for the advice / tip! :D

You can try to remove the method in your DSDT that has the serial / parallel code to disable it (in theory), but I don't think that'll work as the serial / parallel card is plug-and-play PCI right?

I rebuilt/repaired cache after removing the kext and its working just fine now. Problem solved.

As a followup to your question, I've run into a bit of a problem with virtual machines. The processor is having trouble dealing with too many VMs, irrespective of RAM. Then again I am used to running like 6-8 VMs on my quad MBP(2011) so maybe theres just something wrong with me haha. Other than that, so far everything I have run seems to be no problem for it. Battlefield 4 and Starcraft II are probably the most CPU intensive game I have and they run fine (on windows). This is with a slight overclock to 3.9Ghz by the way.

Since Microcenter no longer has the discount on the 4790/4790K, it would be better if you just dump the extra $100 into a better gpu for pure gaming.
