I accidentally hit update without thinking and now am stuck in Kernel panic. Any advice on how to get out of it?

Out of date Lilu.kext.
Boot with -liluoff and update it along with any dependent kexts.
Alternatively use clover boot menu, select options > kext management > disable lilu kexts.
