I've been successfully running Yosemite 10.10.5 on Chimera/Chameleon for over a year now. Bought a 980 Ti and decided to finally upgrade to Clover boot loader. I installed Nvidia Web drivers with no hassle or errors and now I get a kernel panic. I also tried making a new boot key with Unibeast 5 but its just giving compatibility issues i don't need to got into.

I've also tried to boot with both my new and old gpu and still the same problem. If there is anyway to modify files/settings using clover UEFI shell or simply taking the SSD (Which OSX is installed on) and plugging it into my MacBook via USB I will use any option now. Desperate to get this fixed.

So turns out installing the web driver somehow changed my SMBIOS system model to MacPro when I was running as iMac14,2. No clue how that happened. So I unplugged my SSD which only had OSX on it and plugged it into my MacBook via USB and changed the SMBIOS.plist Overall very easy fix. Just really annoyed that it happened in the first place.

Installing the web driver doesn't even mount the EFI partition so it is impossible for it to have changed your SMBIOS. Glad you got it fixed though.

Hey, How's your 980ti performing now? I've done a few benchmark under 10.11.6 and I'm not getting nowhere close to the resutls I should.

Have you done any testings? What SMBIOS are you using?

thanks! :)
