Hi all,

I had a system up and running perfectly until I stupidly decided to try to install the HWSensors application from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275429-hwsensors/

When I boot, I get a kernel panic discussing FakeSMC.kext and its dependencies. I can't even boot into safe mode. I do have access to a Windows partition, and I can boot from a recovery USB. Relevant system info is in my signature.

Anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks.

Delete S/L/E/FakeSMC/Contents/Plugins/oemsmbios.kext

Rebuild the cache and reboot.

Thanks!

How do I rebuild the cache from the command line?

Edit: I'm only seeing ACIPSensors.kext, CPUSensors.kext, GPUSensors.kext, and MotherboardSensors.kext. Should I nuke all of 'em?
