HELP!!! Can only boot with "cpus=1" 10.9.1

I7 turbo boost CPU
Mavericks 10.9.1
Can boot with cpus=1 but not with cpus=4
I get an apple intel cpu power management kp with cpus=4 . I installed the appleintelcpupowermanagement patch from MB and still get a kp.
