CPU
i3-10110u
Graphics
Intel UHD
Sierra on:
Asrock H170A-X1
i3-7100
HD630 internal graphics
8GB DDR4
240GB Wave SSD

Geekbench4 Single core: 4946, multi: 9906

Clover boot loader
No SSDT / No DSDT

Graphics accelleration, sound, USB ports, speedstep all working but no Sleep.
Appears to go to sleep, but actually crashes and powers off.

My reading so far suggests that it is not possible to fix sleep without buying a graphics card. Is this true?

Thanks.

I believe so. It's the same for Skylake using HD530.

I finally got sleep/wake working on my build with just the hd630 gfx. The only gotcha is apps that use the gpu (like chrome) can't be on screen when putting the mac to sleep (or ideally, just quit them, for more consistent results).

That simple change just gave me an 8 hour sleep. Ioreg after wake attached. (Full details: https://gist.github.com/adriaanm/836c6a74f77e92950f5a83de5c711b54).

With desktop HD630, you're lucky it is working at all.
No conclusions can be drawn without "Problem Reporting" files (see laptop FAQ).

Thanks, I realize it doesn't tend to work. Just wanted to share that it does at least sometimes. I don't expect you to magically fix it for me :) (EDIT: I don't mean to sound ungrateful -- really appreciate all your hard work that allowed me to build a kaby lake mac mini ;-))

I'd still like to see your setup that contributes to it working "sometimes...".
