Just swap to AMD graphics card

Hi there! I have a z170 system running with an nVidia GTX1070, still on High Sierra obviously. In preparation of updating to Mojave or Catalina, I've been thinking of switching to an AMD graphics card. I would like to know if its just simply swapping out the GTX1070 for say an AMD Vega 56, or are their flags, kexts or drivers involved?

If your running High Sierra latest version, you should be able to swap the card, and it should work without anything else. Then you can upgrade to Mojave or Catalina when it comes out.
