do you know if your motherboard will support Intel i5-2400 (2nd generation) @ 3.10GHz. i have the same motherboard and wandering if i should buy intel i3 (3rd generation) processor, or should i go with my i5. i don't care about speed, its just i wanted to save as much as i can on this build. :beachball:

i5-2400 will give you more troubles for sure. It has hd 2000 and it isn't supported. So at least you will need to buy a graphic card!

OK GOOD TO KNOW. ILL BE BUILDING ONE THIS SATURDAY AND WILL TRY MY i5 PROCESSOR WITH MY VIDEO CARD. OK THANK YOU.

ok i finally finish building Mac.
i used i5..2nd gen processor work fine, only i couldn't make mountain lion in multi beast..
i got i3 3225
see the pictures.

Nice build :D
You should open another thread for your build.

+1, jmpa. He should post his own build description.

Updated to 10.8.3 from AppleStore with no problems.

But now my hd4000 is recognized at 768mb.
In sytem profiler - sata information it went from "Unknown drivers" to "Intel 7 series Chipset"

The problem:
Mouse skips/jumps!! Is really annoying...

EDIT: Initially I thought was something related with my wireless logitech. Now I realize it isn't! If you don't have any ethernet cable connected your mouse is total jumpy/irratic/stutter!

On usb 2.0 on motherboard make your mouse horrible!

EDIT2: Connect it on front panel usb from case and it works with no issues, even with no delay when wake from sleep or boot.

hi, i have the same motherboard with i5 2400+hd5770, i found some weird thing on my setup. i installed ML on my system and i tested it with geekbench, if i run geekbench when i just start my system up, i only get around 4k of score, but if i put my system sleep and wake it up and re-run the geekbench, it can hit around 9k of score. do u have this problem?

dear JMPA, after your reply, I read your configuration for this wonderful mac mini and I decided to build it too. Before I buy, I want to ask you some questions:

1. You have tried if it works AirPlay video/audio? I need to use it for work.

2. I'll Have problem installing Windows 7 in dual boot?

3. No I have the LAN cable but only wifi. Will I have problems?

4. Whit this Macmini do you think I'll can use Adobe cs6 suite?

5. I found your case to 130 euro. Do not you think too much exspansive?

sorry for the stupid questions and my bad English :)
