Have you already decided which CPU cooler you'll use? Or have I missed something? :p

The big thing started... This is some 20 minutes of drilling 2 mm holes... Quite some to follow.

Jaap, would you like a free G5 to ATX cable if you are in the uk? I just found the one I used on my build and I'd rather post it to someone than throwing it in the bin.

Hey Rory, thanks for the offer, but i've created my own already. Hope you can make someone else happy with it!

It's almost two weeks since my last post - and i have been busy. As expected, drilling 2000 holes and deburring took me quite some time. But it's done and i'm happy with how it turned out.

Working with a light in the case turned out easiest. The whole floor of the room is full of aluminium threads, i'm guessing i'll be seeing some of them turning up from everywhere for a while.

I used a dremel to cut the 6-32 screws to size. Then i created countersunk holes. It fits perfectly, and holds the radiator nice.

Close-up of the new holes:

Next up is lighting, ive got a few ledstrips to mount in the case. I don't want them on all the time, so i need to incorporate a switch somewhere.

After that i think i'm nearing the end of the mod, so i can start thinking about motherboard and cpu...

Till next time,
Jaap
