ASUS Z77 BOARDS

Hey everyone,

So I've been looking around at some Z77 boards and I've noticed that a lot of the Asus boards have compatible network and audio.

Are these boards safe to call "compatible" are will there be some sort of UEFI or
power-managent issues?

I've seen a few builds already using ASUS Z77 boards and they seem to be pretty compatible.

Let me know what you think.

I just finished a build with the Asus P8Z77-I Mini-ITX board and the only change I made from opimized default was to change the ram to XMS for the 1600 timing on the Corsair ram.
No DSDT required
Installation was easy and everything in OS X works:
iTunes: works
DVD player: works
Flash (youtube and other sites using flash player): works
wired network: works
audio: works (ALC8xx + AppleHDA rollback + NonDSDT HDAEnabler for ALC 898

If the ivy bridge CPU I am using were fully supported then I would only need a speed stepper kext for power management or a modified BIOS to unlock the MSR so I can get native powermanagement and sleep will work.

What cpu are you using?

Cool, how's it working for you in terms of stability?

Does your cpu run max at all times or is speedstep working for you?

Is this the board you're using? ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe

Since ivy bridge is not supported and I have to use nullCPUPowerManagement.kext to prevent KP, cpu runs full speed with no speed stepper.
Will have to see how it behaves once Apple either adds support and has some ivy bridge Macs out for sale.
