Hi Im trying to follow the afps update guide to High Sierra from Sierra.

Steps taken:
1. Update Clover
2. Copied all Kexts from 10.12 folder to 10.13 folder in EFI folder.
3. Copied afps file to relevant folder
4. Tried to Install High Sierra - got firmware update required. Checking forums this seems to be SMBios / machine ID related. Tried iMac 14.2 and 17.1 with clover config populating the info.

I cant now boot directly into Sierra from the system drive (its a back up). I can boot via my original USB bootloader. Im a bit stumped as I cant proceed. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Hi - I got past the above by reading another thread that states if you put the following firmware number into the relevant box on SMBIOS in clover the firmware issue goes away. The value is 0xe907f537. It works, and High Sierra will not now display the firmware warning and will commence installing, however now Im having an issue with the re-starts during the install process. It restarts back into clover , I get the apple screen briefly , but no progress bar and it then disappears and next thing clover is restarting????
