Hi all,

I just finished installing High Sierra last night on my desktop. I followed the install guide and used a special set of files for my motherboard (ASUS Rampage IV Extreme) so the installation would finally work. I'm trying to get my GTX 960 working with macOS. I followed the guide here and downloaded the newest NVIDIA Web Drivers located here. I've followed the steps in this troubleshooting guide as well, to no avail. Basically, my problem is that macOS keeps reverting back to the OS X Default Graphics Driver after a reboot even though I select NVIDIA Web Driver. According to the troubleshooting guide I linked above, this could potentially be because my board doesn't have native NVRAM support. I installed the latest Clover release and selected the "EmuVariableUefi-64" option but, while that did successfully update the bootloader, it had no effect on the graphics issue. I'm wondering if I downloaded the wrong drivers? Also, after running Multibeast, my computer needs either the bootflag "ncpi=0x2000" or "npci=0x3000" to start, otherwise it just randomly freezes at the beginning of the boot (after about 2 seconds into seeing text using verbose). Using either one of these flags seems to cause some of my USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports to stop working on the motherboard, however. Could either one of these flags be affecting the Web Graphics driver too? I'm not really sure where to go from here and no fixes I've come across on the forum have worked yet. Let me know if screenshots are needed or anything should be clarified. Thanks!

If you do that then you must also select the RC Scripts.

I did that as well. Is that option selected by default? I followed the troubleshooting guide and I ran the installer again to select the option. Is there a possibility that since I might not have selected both "EmuVariableUefi-64" and RC Scripts in the same run of the installer that it messed something up?

No.

No.
It will have no effect if you only completed half of the task.

No.

No.

So just to clarify, should I run the Clover Installer again with both options selected?

I ran the installer again with both options selected and it didn't work. I noticed that if I don't touch any boot options and let Clover do its own thing with the timeout boot, I get past the freezing part and the Apple logo, but then my monitor says no input. Is something weird with my boot options/arguments?

Is something weird with my boot options/arguments?
Probably - Here is the installation procedure :

BIOS - Disable Integrated graphics - Set PEG as Primary
Use a digital connection - DVI or HDMI - VGA is not supported.
Boot with nv_disable=1
May need to update Clover
Install web drivers
Update web drivers to ensure that you have the correct version.
Config.plist - Do not inject Intel or Nvidia graphics and no ig-platform-id
Config.plist - Disable SIP completely - CsrActiveConfig 0x67
Edit config.plist - NvidiaWeb = true as per Link
May need to emulate native NVRAM - Problem 6 - Install EmuVariableUefi-64 and RC scripts or install AptioMemoryFix or OsxAptioFixv3
Remove nv_disable=1 from config.plist
May need to install Lilu.kext , LiluFriend and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext

Potential Problems :
HDMI 2.0 is not supported - Use HDMI 1.4 (or lower) or black screen part way through boot.
If your graphics card has more than one output of the type that you are using then try another one.
Black Screen with MacPro 6,1 or iMac 15 or iMac 17 System Definition
