Wonderful, works great, I think I had just forgotten to delete one old HDA kext in my e/e folder. Helps a lot to just have clear instructions though since i am a noob in some ways to hackintosh since i havent installed hackintosh since 10.4 .
Thanks to tonymac and all the helpful people here I finally have osx installed on my portable i7 workstation with all of my basic hardware up and running, all i have left is to fix my windows partition and install some linux. Time to do a backup of my osx install in case i mess something up with all the extra hardware and software i have left to install (usb wifi, fw800, expresscard/cardbus adapters, etc.)

Still havent figured out why my monitor calibrations wont stick though...
