I very recently bought a GTX 970 by ASUS, primarily for gaming purposes on Windows 10. But I am also going to install Yosemite on there as I had picked parts listed in the TonyMacX86 Buyer Advice page.
MOBO : Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H
CPU : i5 4460
RAM : Corsair Vengance 8 gigs
PSU : Corsair CS650m
SSD : Samsung 120 gb for WINDOWS and 250 gb for OSX.
HDD : 1tb WD Caviar Blue
I know that in order to get the 'Maxwell' cards to properly run on OSX I will need Nvidia's Web Drivers
but my ultimate question is that is the ASUS Strix Gtx 970 going to be compatible and are the Web Drivers on the OSX installation going to affect the card performance in Windows 10 by any means?
Thank You, your answers are very valuable!

GTX 970 is compatible with Yosemite, using web drivers.
I don't know about Mavericks.
And I don't think mac web drivers will have any effect on windows operations. they are separate OS.

You'll need Yosemite for the GTX 970.
