Hi,

I'm thinking of running on a VMWare but I may set aside 100GB on my HDD for OSX if that is better. My specs are as follows:
  • Crucial MX300 275GB SSD
  • Seagate ST10000DM003-1CH162 (1TB HDD)
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (GPU)
  • Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller (Network)
  • Intel i5-6400 (4 Core @ 2.7GHz) CPU
  • 8GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 800 MHz
  • Gigabyte H110M-S2PV DDR3-CF (Motherboard)
Does this hardware meet the requirements of the latest OS X for duo boot or virtualisation, otherwise what version of OS X will work.

EDITS:
(NOTE) I have a copy of Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 on disk, can I use that disk for installation on a PC?
I've read that I must install OS X on a completely blank HDD, I have Windows 10 installed on my SSD but I was hoping to install OS X 10.6 on a partition on my HDD which just stores some applications and documents. If it is not possible to install on a partition, does anyone know how I can install it on either VMWare or VirtualBox via the OSX10.6 CD.

Regards,
Isaac

Your system should work but Snow Leopard will not work on your system. You need El Capitan (10.11) or later.

Do you know if I can partition my HDD (100GB http://prntscr.com/gvwo7b) and install it on that partition (Win10 on SSD)?

You want to install MacOS on a separate hard disk? Yes, of course you can. But remember to temporarily disconnect your Windows disk before doing so.
