    Is it OK to delete this file? Will there be any side effects?

    /Users/TonyTech86/Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.KCN.plist

    I need to know if I can delete this file because I'm trying to make iMessage and FaceTime work again.
    (They stopped working about two days ago.)

    @TonyTech86,

    I removed all the com.apple.securty plists from ~library/Preferences to resolve the recent iMessage issue with no consequences. Since posting this fix as an update to my iMessage guide several other users have confirmed that it gets iMessage working again after the recent 8th Aug 2014 outage with no side effects.

    Please see Step 4 in Part 1 of this guide :-

    Do I only have to do Step 4 if it used to work before?
