Is it a must to update to 10.6.8 for Lion??

Hi all,

I have purchased the Lion with a machine updated to 10.6.8 but did something wrong during the installation. Good thing is I have copied the Lion to the Thumb drive.

So I restored the machine to 10.6.7 and upgrade to Lion. now the computer works fine. But I didn't do the update to 10.6.8 prior to letting the Lion came out of the cage, is this ok?

You can still update to Lion on 10.6.7. That's what I did.

thought it was 10.6.6 yea checked it 10.6.6

once you have the lion downloaded with 10.6.6 - 10.6.8
you could create a installer usb and install over any snow leopard or a fresh install

oh your components have to be compatible with lion
