High Sierra is the OS.
I know the integrated GPU inside the 4790 does not support the HEVC. But the Gtx 1060 supports HEVC.

I installed the latest Nvidia Webdrive. I still could not see the HEVC as the output option from Final Cut Pro x.

How about if i buy a RX 580 or a Vega 64 for the system? Will the system support HEVC from Final Cut Pro X?

How the people who using X99, x299, LGA 3647 that without intergrated Gpu but only a AMD/Nvidia to handle the HEVC/h.265 encode?

Thank you.

I force a HEVC / H.265 encode with Apple Compressor. From attached screenshot you can see it is purely CPU / software encoding.

2. macOS 10.14.5
3. iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS
