Hi,

Currently, I have a dual monitor setup, one with HDMI and another with DVI. The monitor with DVI is old and small and I decided to replace it with a newer model, but unfortunately, most of the available monitor does not have DVI port. And as I remember Hackintosh has issues with VGA ports.

I think maybe a DVI to HDMI converter could be a solution. I searched and found out that some users have issues with these kinds of converters.
My motherboard has only one HDMI, VGA, DVI port. Is it ok to use a DVI to HDMI? Or are there any other options?

@Behzadsh,

A DVI to HDMI adapter should work but make sure to get a "active" one .... "active" adapters use an embedded chip to perform the conversion at a hardware level and re-clock the signal to the HDMI standard.

Simple "passive" adapters tend not to work well if at all ....

It is usually detailed in the description or the specs ...

For example if you take a look at this listing on Amazon it's made clear that it is an Active adapter from the description.
