I've had similar problems with my iphone at my UD2 motherboard. After some searching, I figured out that it was due to a power issue (I do have 600w supply without anything power hungry). Changing the usb port fixed it. Try it ...

Had the same problem, iPhone was connected and nothing happened.

BIOS update and replug worked fine for me, thank you =)!
