Hi,

This is my first attempt at a hackintosh. I successfully installed ML on Gigabyte Z77X-D3H, i5 3570k.

After the install, I took out my 2TB HDD out of the external drive enclosure and installed it using the SATA III cable in the case. I still see the drive as external in finder (with the eject icon). Is there a way to make it an internal drive?

Thanks
Sid

I fixed this by installing 3rd party SATA in multibeast.

Thanks Theroamer. Worked for me as well.

How can I check if the drive is connected as Sata3.0 or Sata6.0?

after rebooting only my ssd shows up as internal. my WD 640 still shows up as external. even with 3rd party sata drivers. any ideas?

There's a multibeast option under Kexts & Enablers: Disk: IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector which is expressly for this. Check that box and your SATA drives show up as internals. Was bugging me too...

So I figured out a way to fix this. Just open your bios settings and turn off 'hot plugging' in SATA configuration. That's it.
