Success
  • GIGABYTE Z370XP SLI
  • i7-8700K
  • Ballistix Sport LT [BLS16G4D240FSB] 16 Gb
  • MSI GeForce GT 1030 OC Silent LP [GT 1030 2GH LP OC]
  • 4k display LG 27UD88-W (use DisplayPort)

Tips:
- use https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/nvidia-update for nvidia web driver (387.10.10.10.25.156 have lags)
- upgrade BIOS to F6c to fix fan speed control
Hmmm.... I have same CPU and comparable GA-Z370 mobo... yet my GB4 score is significantly better than yours for some reason:

I think my DDR4 is faster than yours, but I wonder if that would cause this much delta between the 2 builds?

@BoomR I did't include any overclock capability in BIOS, maybe that's why?

Is there anyone that tried to install macOS Sierra?
I’m not going to use High Sierra until September....
Top much bug and I’m waiting for Apple to solve them

Yes, lots. See the High Sierra Desktop Guides forum section > https://www.tonymacx86.com/forums/high-sierra-desktop-guides.191/

However, I agree with you about the immaturity of High Sierra 10.13.3, unlike previous versions of macOS .3 update. According to reports, 10.13.4 is shaping up to be what I expected 10.13.3. Forecast say that 10.13.4 won't be out until late March 2018.

No, my question was: have anyone installed macOS Sierra (10.12.6 ecc) on new Coffe Lake?
I don’t want to install High Sierra.... But I’d like to improve my actual build..... So: have anyone installed Sierra(NOT High)?

It should work, but you will probably have to spoof Kaby Lake with FakeCPUID.

Ok, so anyone have tried it?
Thank you so much...

Or maybe.....
Could anyone that owns an Coffee Lake CPU try to start a Sierra build with a FakeCPUID in clover?
Thank you very much.

It's worth noting that 'erik' found that the Intel graphics were not supported for current CL cpus lower than the i5-8400, as those device IDs differ: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...-i5-8400-uhd-630-graphics-high-sierra.239157/
I imagine this will change if/when Apple releases any Macs using these lower-spec'ed cpus.

My own Coffee Lake i5-8600K build has been rock-solid since I put it together nearly a month ago. Not a single KP. Very fast overall, especially with 6 cores OC'ed and the NVMe PCIe SSD.

This changed, i3-8100 Integrated Graphics works now!!

Yes, you're right! Now UHD 630 is working in 10.13.3 High Sierra with this configuration:

- BIOS:
- Integrated Graphics: Enable
- Integrated Graphics Memory size: 128MB,
- Init Display first: IGPU (without discrete graphics) or PCIE (if you have supported nVidia or ATI/AMD card in your PC)
- Clover config:
- GFX0 > IGPU clover DSDT patch
- Boot/Arguments = -disablegfxfirmware
- Devices/FakeID/IntelGFX = 0x59128086
- Graphics/ig-platform-id = 0x59120000
- Graphics/Inject/Intel = true
(- Optional): Graphics/RadeonDeInit = true (if you have a supported ATI/AMD GPU)
(- Optional): SystemParameters/NvidiaWeb = true (if you have a supported nVidia GPU with WebDriver installed)
- Clover kexts:
- Lilu.kext (latest)
- IntelGraphicsFixup.kext (latest)
(- Optional): NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext (latest, if you have an nVidia card)
I recommend using Clover version r4359 or newer...

I use this more recent method. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...0-native-support-with-gfxid-injection.240585/. An i3-8100 with four cores, supporting OS X, for 110$ is a deal for budget build

Can anyone recommend a motherboard that has FireWire that will work with thes new CPU's ?. I have allot of FireWire audio hardware I would prefer not to retire.
