So a slightly better CPU, with much better on board GPU? Here's the obvious flaw here. Anyone buying this high end of a CPU is also going to be buying a discrete GPU. So unless the pricing is comparable to Sandy bridge I'm glad I didn't wait.

I didnt wait either but Im waiting for them to bring out the big guns, cause this is nothing but a minor upgrade.

2600K all the way

you two do realise this is a die shrink of sandy, right?

the main benefits are lower power consumption and lower temps.
it will be around the same price.

Yeah, I know this but the temps are already low with Sandy.

We are just comparing the power increase which is not so great.

:geek:

even lower temps are even better

these are just preliminary benchmark results, mainly synthetic.
wait until the real world results come out, as well as the temps at load etc.

 Not so great, most 2600K can achieve 4.8Ghz on average and many have acheived stable 5Ghz... no problem

those results you just posted are for sandy bridge-e, the new chips on socket lga 2011.

what i have posted about is ivy bridge; the die shrink of sandy bridge, on the 1155 socket
