Last month, a company leaked roadmap slide revealed that Intel was readying Broadwell-E (HEDT - High End Desktop) processors for a Q2-2016 launch. There was some speculation regarding cores vs pricing.
According to Techpowerup, recently leaked documents revealed that Intel is prepping 4 SKUs in it's Broadwell-E lineup for Q2-2016.
- 6-core, i7-6800K and i7-6850K
- 8-core, i7-6900K
- 10-core, i7-6950X
They will be compatible with existing LGA2011 v3 motherboards via firmware updates.
