Intel Quick Sync????

On my setup when I was running 10.11.X, if I didn't use your hd4600_Airplay patches, I couldn't create hardware encoders. I'd get a log/stderr message from my app that specifically said something like 'Could not find IGPU'. If I used your patch (or one like, it, I think just GFX0->IGPU) then I could create hardware encoders.

I just booted 10.12.1 with NO patches and I still get the IGPU stderr message, but it successfully creates the hardware encoder. With no patches I also get hard lockups if I try to play Beats1 in iTunes, or if I try to play Twitch streams (which are delivered via HTTP+HLS and handled by Safari's built in support). If I use the IGPU patch Beats 1 still doesn't work, but it at least doesn't hard lock the machine. Twitch streams work.

I believe my Clover configuration has inject intel enabled.

I don't have any AirPlay patches setup. I do have Inject Intel set to true and the ig-platform-id set to 0x04120004. I have the option for AirPlay Mirroring with just that. Once I changed GFX0 to IGPU I still have AirPlay Mirroring and also have Intel rendering options in that program. In my bios I have PEG set a primary and dual display turned on and set to 64MB.

I don't have a DSDT file. I have inject Intel selected but my ig-platform-id is blank (in the graphics section of Clover). Where do I start?

At the Clover boot menu press F4. That will dump your DSDT in /EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/Origin. Copy the DSDT.aml file to the Patched folder in the same directory as the Origin folder and open it with MaciASL and patch anything you need to to make it compile and change GFX0 to IGPU. Every DSDT is different so I don't know exactly what you will need to do.

I'm a big noob when it comes to this DSDT stuff. So I need to open the DSDT file that I copy over to the Patched folder and then change every instance of GFX0 I find to be IGPU instead? There are 26 instances of it in my file. Then I just compile it? Is that all correct?

this is for laptops, but you can go through the process: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/unread which explains how to get the files and how to decompile them

I think I'm having a similar problem as being reported here; hope someone can help answer.

I currently cannot watch any video that uses HLS / M3U8 within Safari (works fine in Chrome) and while I can use Apple Music; beats1 does not work.

My GPU is onboard, all other specs are within my profile. Hoping to find a solution; software would be ideal but if I need to buy a dedicated GPU then I can accept that too.

I'd just like to avoid using multiple browsers to watch HLS/M3U8 Video
