Not sure if this has been posted before...

For those who might think it's interesting to see how much power their CPU is *actively* using, check out Intel's Power Gadget for Mac OS X.

http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-power-gadget-20

It also has an API that can be used to log and track power usage (and a few other tricks too).

Doesn't show my Frequency scaling correctly for some reason.
But my system peaked out at 91W during Geekbench.
I do see it change from 2.2 GHz, 2.6, 2.8, 3.2 and 3.8 GHz.

still not able to install it right now. i have tried through pacifist - but still can't open it. do i need to have OSx in my applications folder? can't seem to figure out how to install it.

I think I might have a heat issue and therefore wanted to research for my Latitude E6500. However when I tried to install I got error :

CPU Not Supported
Intel Power Gadget only supports 2nd generation
Interl Core processors and later.

I guess I happen to have a 1st generation Core 2 Duo

Is there an alternative app I can use?
