got my intel NUC yesterday (the one with LAN connector but NO Thunderbolt) and everything seems to work. didn't try audio through HDMI yet. AirPlay works fine though. it won't work unless the graphics memory in the BIOS is set to 128MB, very important!

regards,
michael

Thanks- looks good- the Intel LAN is working- wouldn't be difficult to get that HDMI audio working either.

I just tried audio out via HDMI and it didn't work...

I would like to read a checklist about what is working and what isn't, like:
-Speedstep
-Audio
-Ethernet/TB
-USB ports
-Sleep/wake
-Auto-sleep
-A brief sum-up about the installation. :)

speedstep: to my best knowledge, the CPU in the intel NUC isn't capable of doing speedstep. edit: sorry, meant TurboBoost. CPU has NO TurboBoost. Speedstep: I don't know.

audio: right now, only AirPlay or an external USB audio-interface works.
ethernet: works
USB: all ports seem to work flawless, had no trouble at all.
thunderbolt: I have the NUC without thunderbolt so I can't say...
sleep/wake: seems to go into sleep mode but doesn't wake up anymore.

I followed this guide ->
http://www.tonymacx86.com/61-unibeast-install-os-x-mountain-lion-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

while installing MultiBeast I only had to activate "EasyBeast Installation" and "hnak's AppleIntelE1000e Ethernet"
VERY important: you have to set the graphics memory in the BIOS to EXACTLY 128MB!

Thank you mikeboss! It was helpful for me and probably for everyone!
