Intel i7 6700 Skylake CPU + 100 series motherboard into iMac 27" mono block

I am not going on with this project. In any case it will have certain drawbacks, so I have decided to sell my Mac and build a i7 7700 +200 chipset motherboard configuration.
Theoretically the fans can be used, why not?
