For anyone having trouble enabling Intel I225-V ethernet, here is a solution for Clover on ASUS PRIME Z490-A.

1. Edit Clover config.plist to include Devices/FakeID/LAN value of 0x15f28086

2. Install FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_I225-V.kext to CLOVER/kexts/other/

3. Reboot and ethernet should be enabled.

@tonymacx86 I am interested to learn whether the fakeid you are using or suggesting is actually working for you with Power Nap as well as Wake for network access enabled in your System Preferences --> Energy Saver.

When I have these ticked my onboard ethernet works however it dark wakes "Power Naps" regularly every 5 minutes and goes to sleep thereafter as wel. In theory everything seems to be working however the Power Nap wake/sleep rhythm is just excessively high.

What I also noticed is that during the short periods that the hack is actually sleeping the onboard Intel I225-V ethernet port continues to dutifully respond to ICMP (ping) requests, which it should not do.

I have now disabled the onboard ethernet port and use a natively supported 10/100/1000 USB Ethernet Adapter instead, with the FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_I225-V.kext removed from my OC 0.6.8 configuration.

With the 10/100/1000 USB Ethernet Adapter everything is now working as it should, however I would actually prefer using the onboard ethernet controller instead of my hopefully only temporary USB solution.

I attached a screenshot that show Power Nap working with the USB controller.

Your feedback will be appreciated.

Greetings Henties
