Intel i219 Ethernet Drivers for Skylake / 100 Series Motherboards [TESTING]

I've tried those both kext on an GA-Z170X-UD3:

AppleIntelE1000e.kext --> not working

IntelMausiEthernet.kext --> working fine

Note: The AppleIntelE1000e.kext need more love. More patching and I will upload mine when I am back home again.

Meh! You builded IntelMausiEthernet using the old version (1.0.x).
You should build using the 2.0.x version, since it fixes app store.

EDIT: I attached my own IntelMausiEthernet (Version: 2.0.2d8). It's builded as release, so, won't spam your logs.

8400GS??? cause only discrete graphics cards work fine?

Hello everyone , sorry but I'm not an expert and it is my first hackintosh.

I used the guide "GA h170n wifi " to install El Capitan. I also installed a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 and it works well . Unfortunately, the first LAN port (near C type usb port) does problems. The connection to the router crashes every time, after a short time of operation.

So, I would try to enable the Ethernet i219 port with these kext file and see if it works, to get internet fully operative. Just the last problem to get all stable:banghead:.

Do I simply move these kext files (AppleIntelE1000e.kext /IntelMausiEthernet.kext)into the EFI partition of the hard disk of El Capitan (in Clover/kext..as it was for the intallation of El Capitan).
Or do I have to open apps like clover, multibeast or other type and /or write code ?
Help me understand better and get a guide for dummies X))) , thank you .

My motherboard is a Gigabyte h170n Wifi, i7 6700, 16gb ram ddr4, gtx 750

IntelMausiEthernet.kext tested on my System with Mb GA H170N Wifi. It sucks!! Really good!On El Capitan I disabled the other lan port that caused incompatibility with nvidia gtx750 videocard and drivers, with kernel panic during the boot. Now all is perfect, no more kernel panic. Both online navigation and Apple Store are ok! Thank You.

For months now Intel i219 ethernet on Skylake 100 Series motherboards has been unsupported. With recent changes to sources, both Mieze's IntelMausiEthernet and Hnak's AppleIntelE1000e.kext now enable all i219 variants.

100 Series additional support:

  • i219-LM
  • i219-V
  • i219-LM2
  • i219-V2

I have compiled the fixed working sources in Xcode from theracermaster and jsmcconn's version of Mieze's driver and from hnak's driver for ease of testing. Official versions of both drivers should be available soon. I do not take any credit for these works. Special thanks to alreadystarted for the heads up in the Skylake Starter Guide. Please test and reply here with results.

EDIT: Working/Updated drivers have now been uploaded to the Kexts download section:

"All i219 variants". Does that include MSI's motherboards? Or has no one here tested an MSI motherboard?

I'm getting some pretty hard crashes on large transfers to my NAS with the IntelMausiEthernet kext. Everything else works great except for these large transfers.

The driver crashes and can't be re-started, have to reboot the machine

using i219V on my H710N motherboard. Tried 2.0.2b as well as latest 2.1.0d

I had similar crashes on my last board (Z87N using hnak's intel1000e kext) but found a stable version a few versions behind the latest.

Anyone else?

I found this in the ReadMe file of the IntelMausiEnternet driver on GitHub: "Fully optimized for Yosemite and Mavericks (64bit architecture) but should work with Mountain Lion and Lion too, provided you build from source with the 10.8 or 10.7 SDK"

Did you compile the driver or did you run it as-is?

This happened to me once. I've been using it for some days with "normal usage" (internet, etc) and everything was fine except when I left the t*****t seeding for a couple of hours. Like you I had to reboot to fix it.
