Hi everyone,

I have successfully installed Catalina on my PC, based on Joostiphone post:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...5-4-on-ga-z87-hd3-i5-4670k-and-rx-570.287121/
My config:
GA-Z87-HD3 (bios version F8) and recommended Bios settings implemented
Core i5 4570 (HD4600)
8Go RAM DDR3
Screen EIZO CX240 connected with DVI (no display port available on my mobo, nor HDMI)

Everything works fine except for the Graphics.
Chip was recognised as HD Intel Graphics 4600, but after some changes in config.plist, as generic
VRAM 1536 Mo
ID périphérique : 0x0412
ID révision: 0x0006

It looks like I have no acceleration even though my Dock is translucide (now Doxk is not translucide anyore after config change)
The icons in the upper bar are not showing properly and they appear only when I click where they are supposed to be, when I drag a window, everything in that window is blurred and I have to reduce other windows to make the content to show up again…

I use the config.plist from Joostiphone, who has the same mobo has me, and I have edited the config.plist (see attachment) to adapt for the Intel HD4600 (Joostiphone has a RX570 GPU)
Inject Intel=yes
ig-platform-id 0x0d220003
load VBIOS
VRAM=1024
Despite those changes, graphics are not working properly...

Is there a way to see whether graphic acceleration is properly activated?
Or is the issue coming from my screen connection (DVI) ?
I am lacking a kext? Josstiphone had a Nvidia card so I guess his set-up was not including the relevant kext for Intel HD

This for your help,
Valyno

Hi, Did you got any further on this issue?
I see you have as much reactions as I often get..... None :(
My issue is, that when booting with HDMI attaches, It stuck on IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs0 , bs0, now, sm 0x0. When I unplug HDMI it boots and I can plugin the HDMI connector and second monitor is there.

For me this works: (except for the second monitor then)
DeviceProperties->Add->PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)
