Hi all,

I'm about to buy a new laptop, Dell Precision 7720, et while i'm configuring the beast I'd like to keep it as compatible as possible with OSX
I have a choice between two processors, Intel Xeon E3-1535M v6, with Intel HD P630, and Intel Core i7-7920HQ, with Intel HD 630

While the devices ID of the graphic cards are very similar (0x591D vs 0x591B), and the P630 is "just" the certified version of 630, I'd like to know if the P630 is fully compatible with OSX ?
I'm pretty sure for the compatibility of 630, but I'd like some insights for the P630 !

I don't know if this has been subject to discussions despite many researches on the forum, my bad if it was.

Thank you!

config.plist/FakeID/IntelGFX=0x59168086 and FakePCIID.kext+FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext (and probably IntelGraphicsFixup.kext+Lilu.kext) should make the 0x591d work.

Thank you RehabMan; this is encouraging.
I'll keep the post updated if needed and if the P630 is chosen

want to know whether it works or not?
