Intel HD Graphics GT1 7MB Framebuffer problem
Hey there,
got OS X El Capitan running on a Lenovo G50-80 (Celeron U3205 version) but I'm struggling to get the graphics to work. Everything else is working fine so far, I've encountered no problems or kernel panics apart from the graphics stuff. I've tried some different ig-platform-ids but none seem to work, each seems to crash the laptop before the system starts.
The problem is similar to the one mentioned in this post http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/164365-intel-hd5500-7mb-no-kext-loaded.html and I've edited my config.plist to apply some of the tweaks RehabMan used in his config.plists, but then again, the graphics chip isn't an Intel HD 5000, but just an Intel HD (Broadwell GT1, VID/PID 8086:1606). According to a post on Firewolf, the Apple Framebuffer driver should be able to handle this card, but any attempt so set the ig-platform-id crashes the system before the login screen. I didn't attempt to change the DVMT value so far; Windows 10 reports 128MB. Should I do this?
I'm attaching the current EFI configuration, the IOReg and the patchmatic output. Moreover, I'd append an output of kextstat | grep -y acpiplat / appleintelcpu but there isn't any. This is the last crash log:
Hope someone can point me in the right direction of getting the graphics working.View attachment Jutta’s iMac.ioreg
