Incorrect conclusion based on the output of lspci. That one has MEI device:
Code:
00:16.0 Communication controller [0780]: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family MEI Controller #1 [8086:1e3a] (rev 04)

lol , im realy blind from the sun. uhhh

rehabman , can you explain in 1 frase what was wrong with MEI of my other asus.

they forgot to burn the firmware on bios chip?
or is was a problem on the motherboard? because, i want to call them to make sure the notebook dont comes back with the same missed-part software...

I don't know the exact cause of the problem. But it is either a hardware problem or a failure to flash something properly.

Looks good. Have fun...

Funny enough. Your not the only one with no MEI. I bought a board off eBay with no MEI.

But you fixed your no MEI problem by installing Windows and installing the MEI driver.

At least that's what your latest ioreg shows.

Maybe so. But its temperamental one minute its working then the next it doesn't. So heres what I've done is I've bought another board and a cheap i3 CPU to test the board I've got and I'm going to test the i5 3320m in another board. Then ill see if its the board or the i5 CPU I've got. Even in DCPI Manager its not showing.

Intermittent hardware problem then... Replace the board.

Even in DCPI Manager its not showing.

If it not on the PCI bus, it will not show anywhere (not in Windows Device Manager, not in lspci on Linux, not in DPCIManager in OS X, and not in ioreg).
