Hi guys. It's time to achieve the full power of our i5 laptops.
1) Put SSDT.aml file into Extra folder;
2) Add DropSSDT=Yes key to your boot.plist and remove any other cpu flags. I recommend to use my boot.plist that attached to this post;
3) Patch AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext with SpeedStepper. I attach patched one from Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2. If you have another version, you need to patch it manually.
I'm waiting for your geekbench results! Good luck, litter hackintoshers! :twisted:
NOTICE: If you are using DSDT with patched processor section, there is no need for above manipulations. But now you can delete your patched DSDT and use one from the Installer. If so, don't remember to add DropSSDT=Yes key to your boot.plist.

Re: i5-2430m & i5-2410m turbo boost

I upload DSDT for 2410m and 2430m. Use my boot.plist and install patched AICPUPM v167.
Post your geekbench results!
I advise you not to use DSDT patcher. Try DSDT Editor.

Re: i5-2430m & i5-2410m turbo boost

I don't know why but that HP memory module has bad performance.
I attach battery kexts to the first post. You need to install it too for battery support.
I will recieve my Kingston compatible module on wednesday and I hope that it will increase memory performance without graphic problems.

Re: i5-2430m & i5-2410m turbo boost

Can somebody try to use DSDT with vanilla AICPUPM (not patched)? Will it give kernel panic.

Re: i5-2430m & i5-2410m turbo boost

Did you tested it?

You need to replace your processor section (Scope _PR) with the help of DSDT Editor.
For 2410m you will have 22 p-states, for 2430m - 23 p-states.
Now there is no need for AppleIntelCPUPM v159. Just patch vanilla AppleIntelCPUPM with the appropriate version of speedstepper. Also, see my boot.plist.

My DSDT's based on Tonymac's DSDT that is live in the database. So, there is no support for Lion's native battery manager and there is no connector table in it. For me that's not a huge problem.

What is changed? Just that part of the DSDT?

Would it help to use this method on the i3 2310m?

yes

Can someone post the DSDT of tony + cpu scope? when i decompile and recompile (even without modifying) i get 10 errors.
My version is F.20 of bios. :banghead:
My DSDT based on Tonymac's one. It's original Tonymac's DSDT + processor section and that's all.

Yes. I just replace processor section.
No. It wouldn't because there is no turbo boost in i3 processors.

Re: i5-2430m & i5-2410m turbo boost

great work. :clap:
Installed on my I5 with 6490 ATI Radeon successfull.
After that installed the two kexts for battery with kext utility but my system then didn't boot. :crazy:
Is there any solution?
