Hi, I do not know if my Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 processor is compatible with High Sierra. Would you say if it's compatible ... thanks in advance

Not compatible. You would need at least C2DUO E7x00 or E8x00 to get the needed SSE 4.1 that High Sierra requires.
The E7500s are super cheap on Ebay. Probably under 8 dollars. The E8400s also sell for about 5-8 dollars now.

Sierra, high Sierra requires a cpu that supports SSE 4.1

otherwise El Capitan is probably your best bet

The problem with your current CPU is that the clock speed is 2.2 GHz so it won't be a good experience using El Capitan with it. Will be too slow for a modern version of macOS. Upgrade to an E8400 which will likely work with your current motherboard. Check the CPU support list on the motherboard manufacturers site. May require a BIOS update to work.
