It looks like Intel is trying hard to get back into the game again with Apple, and this time with new production sites announced in Arizona and Europe. This is on top of new announcements on Meteor Lake and their outsourcing 7nm production with TSMC for 2023, so it looks like an interesting time going forward.

Sadly, because Intel ignored Acorn computers in 1987 and were non-existence in the mobile space for the past decade they're playing catch up. And I don't see them catching up with Apple anytime soon.

Maybe, but it also seems like they are willing to also manufacture ARM and RISC-V chips using their facilities and skills according to this report.

It looks like Intel is changing its strategy on competitiveness.
