Installtion stuck 20 minutes left

So I am installing Mac OS X onto a 500 gb extra HD I have. The installation was going fine unti it stopped making progress. It fluctuates between 18-20 minutes remaining. Should I stopped the installtion and retry or keep waiting? It has been stuck for 90+ minutes
