Hi, I'm trying to install Yosemite on my new laptop, a Toshiba P50-B-118. The system specs are in my profile, and yes, I know that dedicated graphics card will not work.

I followed the guide on how to boot Yosemite installer on laptops (http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...oting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover-uefi.html) and it boots with a bunch of errors and then the screen gets weird. Here is a picture:

Edit: I tried booting with Inject EDID true and it had the same result except that I was able to see the language selection menu between all the mess.

Edit2: I followed your post on how to fix Intel 4600 and it's not working either. Should I try to change ig-plaform-id to another one?

Try setting the screen resolution in the bootloader (GUI/ScreenResolution). Also try sleeping the display and waking it. Try the alternate ig-platform-id values. You could also try patching for brightness: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...ching-dsdt-ssdt-laptop-backlight-control.html (it tends to fix problems other than brightness control)

Okay, I solved the problem closing the lid for 5 seconds and reopening it! Now i've booted OS X, created an SSDT with the Yosemite script that is also used on the HP Probook installer, patched grafical glitches (using the instructions on the topic for hd4600), fixed boot screen garble, ethernet is working, and now I wanted to create a DSDT to patch the battery, brightness, etc but just by opening MaciASL and compiling it gives me 21 errors. What can I do?

Edit: This are the errors:

Oh, so, I just need to place there the files that are called DSDT*.aml and SSDT*.aml right?

Yes... That's what the guide says.

Perfect, thank you. Now they have disassembled ok, but where are the "new" files saved?

The *.dsl files are placed in the same directory as the *.aml files.
